REMINDER: The Bartlett House is planning to get WVU directly involved with Homelessness Awareness Week by challenging student groups and organizations to participate in an event called Cardboard Box City. **Registration Forms are due by November 6th** Contact BHCommunityevents@gmail for forms or download from Iserve. This is an opportunity for our community to get a taste of homelessness first hand and to help those in need by supporting the Bartlett House shelter. It will take place on Nov. 14th-15th, 10AM to 1AM on the Mountainlair Green as a kick-off event to the following week. The project calls for each student group to create and decorate a cardboard box shelter for their members to reside in for the entire event. Members will be expected to take turns staying in the box shelter, raising money for the Bartlett House and representing the cause. This is a small dose of the hardship some must live with day by day, rain or shine. The boxes will be uniquely decorated by each student group with facts and statistics regarding homelessness and those who experience it. If needed, cardboard boxes have been provided by Walmart - Please stop by the Bartlett House downtown location to pick up boxes between 9AM-5PM, Monday through Friday starting 10/27/14. Anyone interested in taking part in the event is encouraged to visit the Bartlett House Iserve service opportunity page for more details. Please direct any questions to the Bartlett House Volunteer Coordinator at BHcommunityevents@gmail.
