REMINDER | VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY The Art of Alabama Food Exhibit at The Compleat Studio at The Wharf is looking for some extra volunteers this Friday and Saturday, July 11 and July 12. This coincides with the big Blue Marlin Grand Championship Tournament at The Wharf. We expect many of the tournament attendees to take a stroll through the exhibit. There will also be a special Celebrity Chef cooking demonstration Saturday evening as part of the tournament festivities and they need volunteers to help pass out specially cooked samples of the fish caught as part of the tournament viewing experience. The details are noted below and if you are interested in volunteering please email Leslie Baumhower (copied above) or call Dwight Hambrick at 251-716-8249 before Friday. Thank you! Dates: Friday, July 11, or Saturday, July 12 Times: 4PM-10PM, or alternatively could do 4PM-7PM or 7PM to 10PM – please arrive a half-hour early to go through your simple training about this exhibit that showcases photographically 36 of the 100 dishes in the “100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die” brochure from the Alabama Tourism Dept. Where: The Compleat Studio, at the foot of Main Street at The Wharf, directly to the right of the traffic circle and across from The Compleat Angler Attire: Black pants, black shirt (black Art of Alabama Food aprons will be provided to you) Expectations: Have fun exposing exhibit attendees to the gorgeous exhibit, help them understand that the Alabama culinary scene is gaining recognition. You can also speak to our Alabama Gulf Seafood, the wonderful dining opportunities and culinary festivals that happen from time to time in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Bon appetit!
