REPEAT OFFENDER ARRESTED BY CHP FOR THIRD TIME At approximately 10:30 p.m.Wednesday CHP dispatch advised Sonoma County officers of a “be on the lookout,” (BOL,) for a suspected DUI driver in a Dodge Durango on River Rd. near Guerneville. A Sonoma County Sheriffs deputy heard the BOL and within a few minutes observed the Dodge on River Rd. at Bonita Rd, initiated an enforcement stop and notified CHP. Upon arrival CHP officers contacted the driver who was identified as Ryan Schroeder, 39, of Sebastopol. Officers noted signs of intoxication and began a DUI evaluation. Schroeder failed field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested. A records check revealed that Schroeders drivers license is suspended for a prior DUI arrest. In that incident, Schroeder crashed a motorcycle on SR 116 at Old Cazadero Rd. on May 21st at 4:50 p.m. of this year and was flown to Memorial Hospital with major injuries. Schroeder had one more prior DUI arrest in 2010.
