REPORT ON NIJ CONVOCATION The media known as the fourth realm of government and also well known for the famous quote - the pen is mightier than the sword - will act as an observer rather than a participant in the on going national conference. This was the view of the guest speaker, Managing Director of Channels Television, John Momoh represented by Abiola Osamaya during the fourth convocation lecture of the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Ogba, tagged The media and the national conference - observer of participant. Abiola describes the media being an observer during the national conference by maintaining the balance of reporting, being fair and objective and also reporting the daily activities of the delegates. Also speaking at the lecture was the provost of the institution, Mrs. Elizabeth Ikem, warns the media not to allow ownership ethnic to affect accurate reportage in the national conference.
