[REPOST] JUST A REMINDER: Before you post/call/email, please read this whole announcement, PAWS FAQS and Posting Guidelines - your question or concern may have already been answered. PAWS Frequently Asked Questions: paws.org.ph/faqs.html pawsphilippines.weebly/ PAWS Facebook Posting Guidelines: on.fb.me/18yUOqu PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR QUESTIONS OR REPORTS HERE IN FACEBOOK. Your comment may be overlooked or go unnoticed due to the number of posts. We do not stay online and read FB comments 24/7 due to more urgent shelter work and other responsibilities. If you have sent us an email, please do not post the same question in the PAWS FB since having to reply to both takes time away from us responding to other concerns. If your queries are not on the FAQs list or if theres any information you would like us to know, PROPER CHANNELS TO REPORT OR CONTACT PAWS: 1) contact the PAWS office at telephone number 475-1688 during office hours (10am-12nn, 1pm-5pm Mondays to Saturdays except holidays). There is no PAWS hotline. If the telephone is busy (due to the volume of calls we receive) or it remains unanswered (bathroom breaks or entertaining shelter visitors), you may leave your landline numbers and the nature of why you want to get in touch with us when the answering machine picks up, or 2) EMAIL us at TO: [email protected] CC: pawsphinquiries@gmail We try to reply within 48 hours. If you do not get a reply within 48hours, kindly resend your email. Thank you to all those who READ the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS). YOU HELP PAWS HELP MORE ANIMALS. Each one who makes the effort to first seek answers from FAQs saves PAWS time. This allows us to attend to more reports of animals in need. If you have cruelty reports - please read paws.org.ph/how-to-report-animal-cruelty.html and email your complete report (as stated in the guidelines) and your witness affidavit. If you come across photos or videos online showing animal cruelty or neglect, do not post them here in the PAWS Facebook. Please read PAWS Posting Guidelines: pawsphilippines.weebly/cruelty-online-photos--videos--links-what-can-i-do-about-these.html If you want to report your neighbor who is neglecting their pet (pinapabayaan, hindi inaalagaan) - please read paws.org.ph/pet-neglect-what-to-do.html and send in your complete report and affidavit through proper channels. If you are asking if PAWS can adopt your pet or if you can surrender your pet to PAWS -- PAWS will not accept your pets. Please read: * paws.org.ph/adoption-or-abandonment.html * paws.org.ph/admission-policy--rehoming-policy.html * pawsphilippines.weebly/admission-and-rehoming-11-reasons-paws-cannot-adopt-your-pet.html If your pet is sick, please do not post online - instead, take your pet to a licensed vet for proper diagnosis and treatment asap. Delaying the trip to the vet can make your pets condition worse and can lead to higher vet bills. Part and parcel of responsible pet ownership is taking ones pet to a vet regularly for annual check-up and vaccinations, and especially when they are showing signs of illness or injury. If you are on a budget, ask the vet for a discount or if you can make staggered payments. If you wish to consult with the shelter vet, PARC Clinic Rates and Clinic Hours are paws.org.ph/veterinary-services.html (Also read: paws.org.ph/my-pet-is-sick-what-do-i-do.html) --- PARC Clinic closed from May 1-7 If you see a stray dog or cat or an injured animal out on the streets, please read and send in your complete report: * paws.org.ph/who-can-get-strays-or-abandoned-dogscats-off-the-streets.html * paws.org.ph/rescue-and-stray-emergencies.html The guidelines and FAQs were put up so that people can BE PROACTIVE and do things at their own level, without waiting for PAWS to scramble for available volunteers to answer the email or Facebook comment or go out on a rescue.
