RESCUE EFFORTS: SEARCH FOR LOST MOUNTAINEERS ------------------------------------------------- Chinese group Blue Sky Rescue Team has sent a second team in Nyingchi District, Tibet to support rescue operations for the two missing Myanmar mountaineers who are part of an expedition to Mountain Khakabo Razi Myanmars highest peak. BSRs team arrived at the foot of Nam In Taung Mountain, in the midday of Monday. Two days ago, BSR first sent its 9-member team to Yangon and went straight to Putao. Other organizations, including Htoo Foundation, have also tried to help rescue operations. The eight member expedition began in July 29, when the Myanmar mountaineers left Yangon for Puta-O. Expedition organizer, Thabawa Khaw Than Association, says the climbers successfully reached the peak on August 31st. However, two members of the team went missing, while the group was on its way back.
