My theory of the day: Is Delsin Rowe the Beast? Im amazed no one does theories here more often. Oh well, I guess Ill be chief theorizer then. So, I was looking through the interwebs for all things InFAMOUS until I stumbled on the theory that ColeMcClone *cough* I mean NativeAmericanDmCDante *cough* I mean Delsin from Second Son was the actual Beast. Of course, only a few people took the idea seriously, me being one of those few. Heres why (caution: major- and I do mean major- spoilers ahead): 1. Kessler warned that the Beast was hellbent on destruction, John White wasnt. At the time, Johns ability to revive Conduits with Ray Sphere blasts was the only perceived way anyone was certain of surviving the Plague. The amount of destruction that followed him was a side effect. Also, in the bad ending, he was sick of all the killing he had done. 2. Also, the Beast in Kesslers time was normal sized. 3. Plus if John was the Beast and Kessler knew that, then why didnt he kill John? It would only make sense if John wasnt the Beast. In summary, John cant be the Beast Kessler was describing but why Delsin? Well...: 1. His power of elemental absorption makes him the perfect Conduit and enables him to be the most powerful Conduit equal to Cole and John. 2. His Evil ending makes him the perfect Beast. His desires were to take over the city and destroy anybody he didnt like. So Delsin would be a better candidate for the Beast but how could he become the Beast? He could get his powers naturally like he planned. Once he gets them, he could take over the world. A common objection to this was the idea that Sucker Punch wouldnt make an entire game about the Beast just kill him then have him return. The problem with that is that they originally were. Cole was going to be the new Beast but his Good ending was chosen the most so it became canon. Another objection was that Cole was supposed to kill the Beast but hes dead. True but there are other conduits who could take Delsin on if he becomes the Beast. Then again, thats only a theory- a game theory!
