RESOLUTION STATEMENT MADE BY NATIONAL CHAIRPERSON OF THE PATRIOTIC FRONT ON 30, 2014 AFTER A MEETING AT THE EXTRAORDINARY NATIONAL COUNCIL; It is with great honour and humility that I stand here before you this historic afternoon to announce this land mark decision that has been passed by the National Council. After an exhaustive meeting attended by members from all the ten provinces and chaired by myself. During this important meeting, we made the following decisions: 1-That the National Council read out the names of all the nine (9) candidates that have shown interest in the position of President of the PF which include the following: 2-Hon. Edgar C Lungu was named as the preferred candidate for adoption at the general conference after a unanimous decision by the gathered delagates from all the ten provinces. --- Below is the full list of the members that expressed interest in the position of the party president. --- 1-Chishimba Kambwili 2-Dr Christine Kaseba Sata 3-Selemani Phangula Banda 4-Miles Sampa 5-Geofrey Bwalya Mwamba 6-Robert Sichinga 7-Wylbur Simuusa 8-Edgar C Lungu 9-Given Lubinda The General Conference is tasked with the following duties: 1-To approve the mode of the verification of the voting of the delegates. 2- To approve the list of the candidates 3-To proceed with the election after establishing an electoral college Signed: Mrs Inonge Wina National Chairperson-PF
