REST & RECOVERY: The majority of the benefits your body gets from exercise, dont actually happen during exercise but during your recovery afterwards. With this in mind its important to get the right amount of rest to compliment your training. Starting with everyones favourite - TOTAL REST Total rest is sleep. This is the only time the body can repair muscles, soft tissue, produce certain hormones and neurotransmitters essential for fat loss and muscle gain. The ideal times to sleep to maximise this recovery are between 10pm - 7am. Why not try going to bed at 10pm 4/5 evenings this week and see if you notice a difference?
