Never could I have dreamed Larrys story would reach so many animal lovers out there who share with us the same devotion and empathy for shelter dogs. Never could I have dreamed we would ever have in our home such loving dogs such as Larry and Biscuit(his shelter buddy), and Kitty Girl(our dog with a kitty name). Never could I imagine Larry or Biscuits lives being taken simply because Larry is older or Biscuit because Jack Russells are less adoptable or simply because the shelter had no room in the inn. I couldnt imagine it, and I didnt have to because our shelter is a A Shelter of Hope and our shelter believes firmly in the No Kill movement. These animals dont leave in trash bags, but yet on leashes to loving homes. They are given time and hope of finding their perfect match. For some its a shorter time and for some its longer. But, good things come to those who wait, so there time will come too. Until that day they are safe and their needs are meet. Animal lovers from near and far come to visit them and walk them, I refer to these individuals as Angles on Earth because it takes an angel to so unselfishly give to these animals. It truly takes a village but, the pay off is so great!
