RETURNED TO THE SHELTER ALERT KODI ~ FIRST FOUND ABANDONED AND TIED TO A FENCE AS A SMALL PUPPY, THEN SHELTERBOUND, THEN ADOPTED, THEN RETURNED TO THE SHELTER.... ALL WITHIN KODIS FIRST YEAR OF LIFE! PLEASE HELP TO GET KODI RE-HOMED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ~ HES STILL A LOVELY YOUNG PUP!!!! My beautiful boy is so blue today!!!! Kodi is also dazed and confused because he doesnt understand what has happened. He had been adopted, but the home situation did not work out. Dear Kodi did nothing wrong, as it was simply a situation that wasnt meant to be.... So, please join me in assisting Kodi to be re-homed quickly! He is so very deserving of a loving home, especially before the shelter environment breaks him down!!!! Kodis life has not been the best so far. He was found as a young puppy tied to a fence, and brought to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter (TOHAS.) Kodis first year of life has been filled with traumatic experiences. First being abandoned, and then coming to a place where there were lots of other dogs and they well all barking so loud ~ so much stress. Then a human comes from out of the blue and takes him into a home. Kodi really never knew what a home was in the first place, but this makes him happy. He spends a very short period of time in this home, and then, his new human (who he so much wants to love) simply brings him back to the stressful shelter. WHY, Kodi asks?? As Ive spent time with young Kodi, Ill tell you all I know about him. First, I must start by telling you that I am completely in love with Kodi. If I was able to provide all that Kodi needs, Id take him home in a heartbeat. Seeing that I cannot do that, Ive promised him Ill come to visit, to walk and play with him, and to promote him like crazy to find him the best home in the whole wide world. Kodi is most likely a Lab/Shepherd Mix, and has just turned a year-old. He is so very friendly, and just wants love and attention. Kodi walks great on a leash, stays right by my side, and is extremely attentive. He knows his basic commands, and what always steals my heart is when you are just hanging-out with Kodi..... He just gives you his paw.... kind of like hes letting you know how much he appreciates you. This gesture is totally heartwarming! Kodi is great with all humans, both big and small. He is not fond of every single dog he meets. Kodi needs a human who can commit to him because he does not know life outside of the shelter. Once Kodi gets out, hell most likely need a little more training. From personal experience, I can tell you that Kodi is sensitive to certain loud and unfamiliar sounds. He becomes fearful of such things as loud slamming doors and loud vehicles. I have seen Kodi crouch down in these types of situations, and all it took to get him past these fears was to talk to and coddle him until he was through it. Kodi does not have a mean bone in his body. He wants to be loved, and he wants to give love back! Oh, and Kodi thoroughly loves to play..... You bring the game, and hell play it!
