REVELATIONS FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATION part 3... MEANING AND IMPLICATION OF REVELATION. Revelation 1:1-2 KJV The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God.... Lets start this meditation on two points: POINT 1: REVELATION IS BUT A GIFT OF GOD.... The revelation of JESUS CHRIST which God gave unto Him. Here in this opening verse again we see something very beautiful for our spirit to grasp. That Jesus did not give nor write a revelation of himself! He is God by all means but in unfolding who truly he is, he waited patiently for his father to attests about his mission and personality, his glory and splendour. And we dont know how long this took.before God could writes Jesus revelation then published it ! This may not be less than eternity! The revelations of Jesus Christ which God gave unto Him. so the picture of this verse is clear. God wrote and God gave it to Jesus. This is worth learning especially in season and age when we all want to be famous and make a name over night. We write many books and author many magazines of ourselves for ourselves too quick these days but not my lord! Nobody wants to wait and longsuffering is wiped out of our lexicon! Every body wants it fast, big and bogus! Jesus waited for the father! Many young brethren no longer have patience as a christian virtue ! Even the senior man of God wants his churches multiplied in geometric ratio no matter the means! May the lord have mercy ! POINT.2 TO SHOW UNTO HIS SERVANTS THINGS... God gave this revelation of Jesus to Jesus and Jesus is to show what God revealed of Him to SHOW to His servants! John been the first of these many servants! Dont you want to be numbered among these? So in the isle of Patmos God came with the revelations of his son and gave it to Jesus and Jesus gave it to the Angel who now showed it to John for us! We can obviously see the chain of revelation! Many people and events are needed at times for a complete cycle of revelation. Who do men say i am ? revelation of peter of Jesus also was a chain. Jesus said to peter flesh and blood has not revealed this but my father. You see it? The father of Jesus here again revealed who Jesus is and peter picked up the divine signal and declare it to his colleagues and the whole world and guess what? He was blessed tremendously! There are enormous blessings for men who see the revelations of God from God! TYPES OF REVELATIONS 1. FLESH REVELATION 2. BLOOD REVELATION 3.FATHERS REVELATION From the fore going its clear true revelations are a divine vision of God to his servants for people and to his people. Revelations starts from God as the main source and is targeted to his people but his servants as middle men! Hallelujah! GOD--> JESUS-->SERVANTS -->GODs PEOPLE (THE CHURCH) Revelations must not end with Jesus nor his servants. If they must build and equip the church then they must be brought forth to the church always. I believe that a correct church is not good enough again. Correct churches must now seek to be current with what the father is saying. ONLY divine revelations makes for freshness!Even individual Christians and children of God must seek to be current with the now word of God! I like fresh and current children of God rare,few but exist! When ever a man touch revelation from God,God is impacted into his spirit, he is upgraded,blessed, enlarged and enriched so much more if he begins to obey and accomplish the intent of its coming. may we all become sleepless until we avail ourselves of this first in our lives, homes and the society and ever hunger and thirst for Gods revelation.
