REVERB is proud to be an arts collective against Israeli apartheid. We stand with the statements released by our community friends SFPIRG, QuAIA, RAMP, and Sins Invalid about pinkwashing at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival. We also believe in diversity of tactics and have decided to stay present for an upcoming event at the film festival. On August 20th, REVERB will be tabling at the VQFFs Changemakers film night. At this event, well be supporting local artists we know and love -- as well as many folks we love within VQFF -- in speaking out against Israeli apartheid. Well also be supporting one of our November REVERB readers, Antonette Rea, who will be featured in a documentary that night, along with filmmaker Mik Turje, who has also released a statement for cultural producers against apartheid. Nows the time to send us your favourite resources about Palestine and Gaza to have at our table. Were so grateful to be organizing in solidarity with so many of you who have raised your voices this week. Links to community statements are below. If its available to you, we hope to see some of you on August 20th -- otherwise, see you in November for our next event!
