***REVIEW: THE NEW THERMOMIX TM5 With the release of the new Thermomix TM5, I have had a couple of enquiries come through today with questions from some clients who have purchased the TM31 recently asking how different the TM5 is. To reassure all my existing clients, all the functions that the TM5 can do with respect to cooking can be done with the TM31. All current recipes for the TM31 are compatible with the TM5. So you are not going to be any worse off for having purchased the TM31. If anything, if you are anything like me and do a lot of cooking, you may be thinking as I have been thinking for some time, that I could actually do with two! This works for my family as there are times when I am making breakfast (e.g. pancakes) and at the same time thinking that I would like to be making a soup for my sons school lunch and how handy it would be to have two thermomixes! Call me greedy!!! But I cant help it, when it comes to food and feeding my family, this is where my investment lies. I really dont care about other things like bricks and mortar, cars or nice clothes.. for me its all about feeding my family well and having a strong healthy body. As the Thermomix has helped me accomplish this, this is where I choose to invest my time, money and energy, and I am loving it! I have attached some information below of the new Guided Cooking functions of the TM5, which I have taken from the Thermomix in Australia media release: - The new TM5 features digital innovations such as accompanying Recipe Chips, colour touchscreen and a unique Guided Cooking function. - The recipes on the chip are shown on the display, complete with nutritional information. Using the touchscreen, Thermomix cooks can easily browse through a multitude of recipes to find ideas and inspiration. - Once a recipe is selected, the Guided Cooking feature enables the user to cook delicious dishes and achieve exceptional results by following simple step-by-step on screen instructions. - The Thermomix pre-sets the time and temperature for each step, so all that is required is for the ingredients to be added and a button to be pressed. Even the function for weight measurement is automatically activated when ingredients need to be weighed. - The numerous features of the Thermomix can all be accessed via the touchscreen and one selector dial. - The TM5 performs the same functions as the TM31. With one bowl and one knife, the new Thermomix can stir, mix, blend, chop, cook, steam, weigh, grind, knead, whisk, simmer and emulsify. - The TM5 can also be used manually, without the recipe chip, the same way as the TM31. All current recipes for the TM31 are compatible with the TM5. - Priced at $1989 for a limited time and currently available with the 12 month interest free offer. This happens twice a year and is usually popular for people that cant outlay the total amount upfront. It has changed my life and I love it as evidenced by many of my posts.. It has made life a whole lot easier and now I just make all my own foods and feel like a bit of a master chef .. LOL :)) A bonus cookbook and Recipe Chip, “The Basic Cookbook” is included with every purchase of the new Thermomix.
