REWARD PR-14-244 December 29, 2014 A reward of $100,000 is being offered in the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of a 16 year old female from Grosse Pointe. On Saturday, December 22, 2014 at approximately 8:55 p.m., Officers responded to Beaumont hospital in Grosse Pointe and were advised that a shooting had taken place in the area of Charlevoix and Philip. Five teens were stopped, when a light colored sedan approached, an unknown male exited the vehicle and fired close to 30 rounds on the teens, fatally wounding the 16 year old Victim, and injuring three others that were inside of the vehicle. The fifth Victim, a 15 year old female was also inside of the vehicle but was not injured during this incident. The suspect is described as a black male, wearing dark clothing, armed with some type of assault rifle, and driving a light colored vehicle. Anyone with information pertaining to this crime, is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department at 596-2663. You are asked to leave a message with your name and a contact number. Due to the substantial amount of money offered in this matter, all tipsters are required to leave their information to obtain the $100,000 reward. The Detroit Police Department will do everything possible to keep your information anonymous but your tip must be substantiated by an investigator.
