RGUKT-UPDATES Guidelines for Ist Convocation - RGUKT To be held on 4th August, 2014 (Monday) at HICC, HiTex, Hyderabad Pre - convocation The students who pass the all courses of the programme would be permitted to attend the Convocation, however, they are required to register for the Convocation latest by 27thJuly 2014. Students not registering for the Convocation by 27thJuly 2014 would not be permitted to attend the Convocation. You are also requested to send the duly filled registration form latest by 30th July 2014 to the Director of the respective institutes. RGUKT welcomes all eligible and registered students of the university to the convocation ceremony to be held on 4th August, 2014 at 11.00 AM at Hyderabad International Conventional Center (HICC) Hyderabad. ALL THE STUDENTS AND PARENTS SHOULD CARRY THEIR ID CARDS WITHOUT FAIL (Students: Institute ID card. In case of institute ID card not available, student should bring other ID card: Aadhar/Voter ID/Ration card/ any other card issued by Government; Parents: Aadhar/Voter ID/ Driving License/ any other card issued by Government). On the day of convocation (4th August, 2014) Date and venue for the convocation: 4th August, 2014 (Monday) ,11.0AM - Hyderabad International Conventional Center (HICC)Hyderabad which is located at Hitex Road, Izzat Nagar, Kothaguda (Distances from HICC: (i) Shilparamam/ Hitech City (3kms) ; (ii) Secundrabad Railway station(20kms)- Bus No: 10H(Bus-stop: Hitech city/Shilparamam); (iii) Mahatma Gandhi Bus station (MGBS-22kms), Bus No:127 KC (Bus stop: Hitech city/ Shilparamam) ,(iv) Nearest MMTS station: Hafeezpet- 5 kms; MMTStrain availbel from Secundrabad& Hyderbad-Nampally ). You are required to make your own arrangement to come to HICC, Hyderabad and report at the ‘Registration Desk’ located at the HICC by 08:00 AM on 4th August 04, 2014 (Monday) and collect the entry pass by submission of your institute Identity card. The representative of the Robe Makers will be present at the Reception Counter on Monday, the August 04, 2014, 7:00 AM onwards. You are required to collect the academic robe by depositing a refundable caution deposit of Rs.500/- (actual rent of robe would be paid by the University). No candidate will be allowed to the Convocation Hall, who is not in proper academic robe prescribed for the Convocation. The dress code is strictly formal for this solemn occasion. Parents (each) should carry proper identify card issued by the government (Aadhar card, Voter card etc) to enter into HICC and produce the same to security when they asks for it. During the convocation (4th August, 2014; 11.00 AM onwards) YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THE SEAT IN THE CONVOCATION HALL BY 10:45 AM. No student would be permitted into the convocation hall after 10.45 AM. Seating plan will be uploaded very soon and students should take their seat accordingly. Medal winners would be required to seat at their designated place. Parents of the students would be provided seat in main convocation hall. However the parents of late registered students may be provided seat in another room / space during the convocation for viewing the convocation proceeding by screen. They should also occupy the seat by 10.45 AM. Doors of the convocation hall will be closed by 10.45 AM and you cannot enter in to the hall after 10.45 AM. At most silence should be maintained during entire process of convocation and remain seated. No student would be permitted to leave the hall till convocation programme ends. All the participants (students, parents and invited guests) shall remain standing from their seat during (a) Entry Academic Procession, (b) Invocation/prayer (c) Graduation oath taking ceremony (d) National Anthem and (e) Departing Academic Procession after convocation ends. Only after the dignitaries and invited guests leave the convocation hall then students and parents should proceed for lunch at food counters arranged outside of the convocation hall. POST- CONVOCATION (4th August, 2014- after lunch) Students should follow proper “Q” system and maintain discipline during lunch and thereby help in smooth conduct of the programme. Lunch should be completed by 2.00PM. Soon after the lunch (at 2.00PM), all the students and parents should re- assemble in the convocation hall and take their designated seat for remaining part of convocation programme. You would be receiving the ‘ Course Completion Certificate and (or) Degree certificate ’ during the Convocation if you have produced “No Dues Certificates”. Once you receive the certificate, you may leave the convocation hall and proceed towards the reception counter (where you received the robe) to return the robe and collect the caution deposit. Silence should be maintained while leaving the hall. Students who have not paid the fees (No dues) may be permitted to attend the Convocation. However you would receive the ‘Course Completion Certificate’ and the final degree certificate would be received by you only after obtaining the ‘No Dues Certificate’ from the respective institutes. You are requested to cooperate with the members/volunteers of the convocation for the smooth conduct of the entire convocation programme.
