RHEMA ALERT APRIL 2014: DONT STOP THERE!!!!! Real talk to the Facebook universe: In so many of our American churches today, little emphasis is placed on the baptism of Holy Ghost and Fire. Those of us in leadership, out of concern over this neglect, Im urging pastors and churches to pray and provide opportunities for people to receive the Holy Ghost and Fire baptism with the initial evidence of speaking in supernatural tongues. But, we must not stop there. We must have the initial evidence, but we must also go past the initial to the enduring work of the Spirit of God. I declare and decree that with the baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire comes the enduement of power (dunamis) for life and service, the bestowment of the spiritual gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. With the baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire come such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit of God, a deepened reverence for God, an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work, and a more active love for Christ, for His Word, and for the lost. Sha...talama...si...ta... We believe the baptism in the Spirit brings the delight of initially speaking with other tongues, but if we stop there, this Pentecostal experience will have no ongoing fruitfulness. I grew up in the House of God Church - Keith Dominion where it is preached that the baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire is for the empowerment of believers for life, authority, power to witness and to be a witness, aware of Gods presence, unspeakable joy, discernment, operate in spiritual gifts, raise the dead, cast out devils and to be a son of God. In short, the enduring evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire Spirit results in our fulfilling Acts 1:8. Evangelism and outreach is enduring evidence of the Spirit’s work. If we are not seeing this evidence—fruitfulness—we’re in deep trouble. Occupy until He comes and let us press into the glory zone to take a nation in Jesus name. SHONDO!!!!HIyah!!!!
