RIGA: FREEZING COLD Latvia in the north is very cold this time of the year. Service however, never stops. One of our AEGIR-engineers went to this shipyard in Riga for the renewal of stern seals, but it was really too cold. The shipyard personnel (used to the cold) didn’t make a problem out of it. They built a little plastic tent around the scaffolding right where we had to work. They also put a small heater inside. It didn’t become summery hot, but it was so much better. Very thoughtful!
