“RIGHT SIDE UP” Are you living right side up? When a person - TopicsExpress

“RIGHT SIDE UP” Are you living right side up? When a person is truly “born again” there will be an obvious and marked improvement in that persons outward actions. If there is not, and he or she remain as they were before, then according to scripture true conversion has not taken place. You see, to be born again is to change completely, to become a brand-new creation with a new mind, a new heart, and new principles. It means a new love for your neighbor, a desire to see others saved. It is impossible to be truly converted to God without being thereby converted to our neighbor. If the inside (the heart) is unchanged, if there is no evidence on the outside of a changed inside then that person has not truly made a complete and total surrender to God of every aspect of their life. You may make a show of false repentance a thousand times and have your name on the membership records of fifty churches and it will avail you absolutely nothing. No person can rightly claim God as their Father if they have not gone to the Cross, fallen to their knees in humble repentance, allowed the atoning blood of Christ to to wash over them and cleanse them, and given Him complete and total control over the entirety of their life. If the person does not live differently from what they did before then there has not been true repentance. Only when there has been a all-encompassing surrender of “self” to Christ are we then adopted into the family of God and can then claim Him as “Father.” The disciples turned the world upside down because their hearts had been turned right side up, and the world has never been the same. What about you? Are you living right side up? God bless you, Mark Shutts
