RIKKI AND THE GANG. -------------------------------------- Rikki STEIN has known Fela forever. First encounter was through Felas song; Sorrow, Tears and Blood. He heard the music from the car stereo of a friend back in London in the mid 1970s. Thereafter Rikki went looking for Fela. Luckily Fela was in London at the time. Rikki found him in a London hotel staying for musical concerts. Rikki too was then planning a concert. The two fell in love at first sight. Few weeks later, Rikki STEIN became Felas International manager. For years to come, Fela and Rikki became a formidable force in the Fela music upsurge. The Fela phenomenon just started. Whoever then was around Fela, became a part of history. But this is not the issue of today. Today, 17 years after the death of Fela, Rikki STEIN is involved in several projects that are retelling the Fela story to the world. When the Executive Producer of Fela the Musical On Broadway needed an ally, Rikki STEIN was the obvious choice. Now same company is FINDING FELA and naturally Rikki is again in that search.
