RIL Digest #LIGHT AND LIFE Part six “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.” 1Jn 2:20. There is no deception that can overtake him that has let the Spirit of God to be their only light of life. Even without their knowledge, they are very steady on the path that is Christ, looking toward one end- Christ. Such focus of heart cannot be deviated, for it has taken away any attention from self; allowing the anointing in them to be their only teacher. “….These things have I written unto you concerning them that deceive you. But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him.” 1Jn 2:27 This is the very life we have- unlimited in view of both the physical and spiritual world; yet He operates in the spirit realm, to affect what is physical. So the truth is that the light of God in us enables us to affect the physical realm, even while our focus is on Him. With Him as our focus we never lose touch with what ought to be. You will be amazed when I say that you could even cross a very busy road while your attention is so focused on Christ, and you don’t even miss the right steps and speed needed to get to the other side of the road, without anybody even hooting at you. To think that focusing on what is spiritually true draws one away from their physical responsibilities, is one of the greatest deceptions of the church today and has plunged many into the needless ‘muddy pools’ of the fear. This fear of oneness with the Spirit of God has made many deny and push away what is rightfully theirs as children of God (as it can only be enjoyed out of this fellowship in light- Col 1:12). And all this is because many have misrepresented this union, and portrayed it to be similar with that of one who is demon possessed. We are not Spirit possessed but Spirit filled, and for crying out loud, She is gentle and full of Grace. If there is anything the Spirit of God will do in you, it is to rightly fill in every shadow of life, that all your life will be a reflection of God’s Glory, beauty and order; so much that it will affect the physical effortlessly. How could we even ever think of ourselves wiser than the author of life itself; this is eating too much honey, we need to spit some out! Come to the revealing light, and only then will you see how finished the finished work is. Without Him, we shall always feel the need to do more of the empty works. Mat 11:28-30
