RIP Robin Williams. He had contemplated suicide before :/ its interesting to hear the conversation he had with himself when he was trying to talk himself out of it: you know, you have a pretty good life Have you noticed the two homes? yes. Have you noticed the girlfriend? yes. Have you noticed that things are pretty good... You dont have the balls to do it Dont discuss this with her because she may tweet it Save it in case you want to go to therapy [death] is like the ultimate freedom of letting go He also shares that he was affected by some of the negative things people had said about his work. Famous or not, people are humans with feelings. :/ You never really know what battles people are facing. Its very sad to see someone so successful give up on life. Yes, he had resources to find the best treatment in the world.. what stopped him from reaching out? Stigma, negativity, and self-hatred won the battle. Im also here for anyone who needs an understanding nonjudgmental listener. Sometimes just getting this off your chest helps more than you think.
