~RIT/NTID STUDENTS~ Undergraduate Student Assistant: Seeking one student for undergraduate assistant position for fall and spring semesters. Research assistant will be responsible for creating web-based images, documents, and videos, and attending research team meetings. The position requires 3 hours per week. Knowledge of digital videography, editing, streaming, and integration into web sites is required. Project Description: This project seeks to build on successes, learn from challenges, engage a larger and more diverse group of collaborators, and create widely applicable strategies to improve learning and learning environments for students in STEM fields through: 1) Strategic use of whiteboards to facilitate cooperative learning in student workgroups comprised of hearing and deaf and hard-of-hearing (D/HH) students; and 2) Communication strategies to help D/HH students better understand introductory statistics concepts.
