RMR#1965 was molested on Saturday. My local club gathered to participate in the Armed Forces Day Parade here in Greenville. It was a Ford on Ford crime. A heavy - solid 1934 Model A backed right into the driver front corner. The pictures dont show the damage very well. But three body shops average the est. Repairs at $2000.00 - all for a parking lot bang! Luckily all the original metal can be reworked and straightened. So I dont have to worry about all remake parts replacing original body metal. Bent the light bezel, front qrt, gravel pan, GT light bar and even through the hood out of wack scratched and chipped paint all over. The couple that owns the model A are taking care of my repairs - at least thats the current plan.??? RMR#1965 / LADYBUG could use your prayers to help her back into shape. I hope to have her in the shop by Monday. As some of you know I was going to try and afford new interior this year. Going to put that on hold to spend the money to have a few of the rock chips and spots in the paint repaired while they have the paint flowing. This will only cost a couple hundred but I might as well spend a little now while is being reworked. I could not afford the 2K I had planned to spend on the interior anyway. As I say each year maybe I can do the interior next year. ....lol Anyway just thought I would share my little nightmare. I could have been much worse at least it can be repaired. Unlike the gorgeous Mustang I saw posted that had the rear end torn off over the weekend. Glad no one was hurt in the accident. .... It looked really bad. Plus no one was hurt in this fender bender. And Ladybug can be worked on and brought back to her original shape. Funny thing is a think Frankie Defeo was just as upset as I was since we just gave her the Royal Croftgate workup as many of you saw the video of.
