ROAD RAGE: Can you help identify an alleged road rage driver? We received this note from a Nine News Darwin Facebooker, who wanted to remain anonymous... "Hi, Nine News Darwin. My partner experienced a high speed chase near Nightcliff Woolworths on Monday night at approx 7.00 - 7.30pm when a SR5 White Hilux with a white tray and paint cans and shopping in the back tray slammed on its brakes in the middle of the roundabout near the BP service station, causing my partner to serve and go around him. "The driver of the white Hilux was in a rage and began speeding and trying to take the back wheel of the bike out the entire way from Nightcliff down Trower road towards Casuarina. "The Hilux driver was at speeds of approx. 100-120 in a 70km/h down Trower road, chasing the bike rider. "When they later stopped at red traffic lights at Shell Casuarina, the Hilux driver - in a company branded vehicle - jumped out with what appeared to be a bar of some sort, causing the bike rider to go through the red light to get away. The Hilux driver and the bike rider then both ran the lights at Rapid Creek, which will likely result in a fine. "As there were a few cars on the road at this time, could you please post this to see if we can receive some further information on whether any witnesses can come forward to police with number plates/company name (either construction or painter), so police can proceed with their investigations. "The driver of the white Hilux had dark, tanned skin with short dark hair."
