ROAD TRIP OF A LIFETIME PART THREE – THE FINAL CHAPTER Ginger and Joni drove from Texas to my place in Colorado where this journey begins. Part one and two have been posted and this one concludes the ROAD TRIP OF A LIFETIME! It picks up at the breathtaking Pacific coast on Highway 1 through Route 66, the randomness on the road and Michael Jackson’s Neverland. On to Catalina Island, Redondo Beach and Needles, California which is known for all the murals throughout town. We crossed the Mojave Desert and into Lake Havisu where we went to London Bridge and visited the lake. Then we headed to Bearizona and the incredible Grand Canyon. Heading home, we stopped by Four Corners. We made it back to Colorado with the Aspens changing color and the beauty of the sunsets are just incredible. We climbed Zapata Falls and visited the sand dunes before making it back to my mountain - Home Sweet Home for me but the girls had to drive on back to Texas. The pictures do not do it justice but after thousands of miles and pictures, hundreds of memories and feeling more blessed than ever, WE ARE PROUD that we live in the great United States of America! We chose to LIVE LIFE BIG after losing so many loved ones – especially our mothers (and my Dad) whom we dedicated this trip to as we know they would want us to see these awesome gifts from God and we felt them along the way. We are truly grateful we were able to do this at this time of our lives - it was indeed the ROAD TRIP OF A LIFETIME! We hope others make it a point to get out and SEE AMERICA in person...... it is AMAZING!
