#ROADWORKS - W/C 25TH AUGUST Please note that dates are correct at time of going to press. Works may be affected by inclement weather and updates will be issued where possible. STOCKTON TOWN CENTRE WORKS St Johns Crossing – Riverside / Bridge Road, Stockton Birse Civils LTD are continuing works on a scheme to improve access to Stockton town centre. The works will include two new linked signal-controlled junctions in place of the existing Riverside Road / Bridge Road roundabout, and realignment of Riverside Road to straighten out its connection with 1825 Way. The construction works are expected to be completed in autumn 2013. The majority of the work will take place during the daytime with most traffic management measures in place between 9:30am and 3:30pm. To allow carriageway construction and resurfacing works to be carried out, various overnight road closures / lane restrictions will be in operation during weeknights for the next 2-3 weeks. Tuesday 27 August – Friday 30 August – Temporary lane restrictions and road closures will be in operation at various locations on Churchyard Link Road, A1305 Riverside and Bridge Road / A1305 Bridge Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Dovecot Street area As part of the Stockton Town Centre regeneration scheme, works on Dovecot Street between Café Nero and the Storytellers pub near ARC commenced on Tuesday 6 August 2013 for approximately 34 weeks. The following traffic management arrangements will be in place for seven weeks: Dovecot Street – Temporary one way only from Brunswick Street to Prince Regent Street (with access to Prince Regent Street / Nelson Terrace only). The eastern length between Prince Regent Street / Nelson Terrace and the High Street will be closed (except for access for business deliveries/loading) and a "left turn only" will be in operation out of West Row Car Park. Prince Regent Street – Temporary lane restrictions will be in operation in each direction. Signed diversions will be in operation. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. OTHER WORKS A67 Yarm High Street As a result of Lefarge/Tarmac carrying out resurfacing works, temporary traffic signals (Hattons 01388710880) will be in operation on Yarm High Street over five consecutive Sundays in September commencing 1 September 2013. It will be necessary to temporarily suspend a number of parking bays during this operation. The works will be carried out over 5 main phases: Phase 1 - Sunday 1st will include the Northbound Lane from the Town Hall to Bridge Street. Phase 2 - Sunday 8th will include the Southbound Lane from Bridge Street to The Town Hall. Phase 3 - Sunday 15th will include the Northbound Lane from Bentley Wynd to The Town Hall. Phase 4 - Sunday 22nd will include the Southbound Lane from The Town Hall to Bentley Wynd. Phase 5 - Sunday 29th will be to carry out additional essential carriageway patching on the Yarm Road and The Spital areas coming in and out of the High street. A177 Durham Road, Stockton As the result of Northern Gas Networks carrying out urgent gas main repairs, temporary traffic Signals (Coneworx 01642 625999 ) are required on A177 Durham Road between Hardwick roundabout and The Horse & Jockey roundabout from Monday 5 August until Friday 30 August 2013, 24hr operation manually controlled at peak times. Thornaby Road / Millbank Lane / Uppergreen Lane, Thornaby As a result of Northern Powergrid/Balfour Beatty Solutions carrying out replacement of HV electric cables, there will be no entry to Upper Green Lane from Thornaby Road/Millbank Lane from 31 August until 1 September 2013. A signed Diversion will be in place. (Coneworx 01642 625999 / 07703671769) Allensway, Thornaby As a result of NWL/Seymour’s installing a new sewer connection, traffic signals (Seymour’s 01429231313) are required o/s St Peters House on Allensway from Monday 19 August until Wednesday 28 August 2013 and will be manually controlled at peak times. Oxbridge Lane, Stockton As a result of NWL/Seymour’s carrying out sewer repairs, traffic signals (Seymour’s 01429231313) are required on Oxbridge Lane/Malvern Road from Monday 19 August until Friday 30 August 2013 and will be manually controlled at peak times Upsall Grove, Stockton As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out verge block paving works, temporary Stop / Go boards or Give and Take will be in operation, where required, on Upsall Grove from Monday 19 August for approximately 10 working days. Darlington Lane, Stockton As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out works to install a pedestrian refuge, temporary traffic signals will be in operation on Darlington Lane, east of Gentian Way roundabout, from Monday 19 August for approximately 15 working days, off peak only. New Road, Billingham As a result of GrowHow UK installing cable rollers across pipe bridge from Growhow site to Lucite site, temporary Stop / Go boards will be in operation, where required, on New Road on Saturday 24 August and Saturday 31 August 2013. Hilton Road, Hilton Village As a result of Lefarge/Tarmac carrying out resurfacing works in Hilton Village, a temporary road closure (Hattons 01388710880) is required from Tuesday 27 August until Friday 30 August 2013. A signed diversion will be in place via Maltby, Roger Lane. Wynyard Road / Wynyard Hall As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out entrance improvement works, temporary lane restrictions will be in operation on Wynyard Road adj Golden Gates access to Wynyard Hall from Tuesday 27 August 2013 for approximately 6 working days. Letch Lane, Carlton As a result of SBC Direct Services carrying out pedestrian / footpath improvement works, temporary two-way traffic signals will be in operation on Letch Lane nr Willow Bridge Close from Tuesday 27 August 2013 for approximately 10 working days.
