ROB ZOMBIE’S GREAT AMERICAN NIGHTMARE ADDS HALLOWEEN THUNDER WITH STREET DRUM CORPS PERFORMANCES AT THE ULTIMATE HALLOWEEN HORROR EVENT IN BOTH CHICAGO, IL AND SCOTTSDALE, AZ “Great American Nightmare may be the best example yet of the upsizing of haunted houses over the last decade…” --Steven Kurutz, The New York Times, October 24, 2013 Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare has added two distinct performances from renowned percussionists Street Drum Corps to run throughout the ultimate Halloween horror event’s two-city engagement. Street Drum Corps’ high-energy drum and percussion show, founded a decade ago by Bobby Alt, Adam Alt and Frank Zummo, will entertain and engage patrons on the Great American Nightmare’s Bloody Boulevard in both Scottsdale, AZ and Chicago (Villa Park, IL). Street Drum Corps brings its Blood Drums Halloween stage show to WestWorld of Scottsdale in Arizona with three performances every Friday and Saturday, and two performances on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the Great American Nightmare’s September 19-November 1 run. Blood Drums has been featured at over a dozen theme park theaters and fairs since 2010, and is seen by over 300,000 park guests per season. At the Odeum Expo in Villa Park, IL (just outside Chicago), Street Drum Corps will roam the Bloody Boulevard at all Great American Nightmare dates from September 26-November 1 with its atmospheric Prime Evil Percussion, regaling guests as they wait in line for the haunted attractions. Since 2004, Prime Evil Percussion has also entertained more than 300,000 people each year. As previously announced, Rob Zombie will be performing at the opening night of the Great American Nightmare in both Scottsdale (September 19, with Powerman 5000) and Chicago (September 26). The fully immersive haunted house experience at both Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare destinations will feature three attractions based on Zombie’s own horror films: In Scottsdale, patrons will take a sensory-deprived journey through The Lords Of Salem In Total Black Out before witnessing the debut of Captain Spaulding’s Clown School In 3D and The Devil’s Rejects. In Chicago, The Lords Of Salem In Total Black Out, The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto 3D, and Haunt Of 1,000 Corpses – first seen at the inaugural Great American Nightmare in Pomona, CA in 2013 – have all been improved and enhanced based on visitor feedback. Tickets for Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare are on sale now at GreatAmericanNightmare, with prices starting at $25 for most nights. Tickets for opening night in each city include the Rob Zombie concert and are available starting at only $45. A limited number of VIP packages are also available for purchase at GreatAmericanNightmare. All VIP packages include a commemorative t-shirt and quicker access to the haunted attractions than general admission. Some packages also include a designated viewing area for the concert. Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare will celebrate the Halloween season on the following dates: September: 19-20 (Scottsdale only), 26-27 October: 3-4, 10-12, 16-19, 23- 26, 30-31 November: 1 Hours for Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare will be 7:00 PM until midnight (Fridays and Saturdays) and 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM (Thursdays and Sundays).
