ROBO –RACE CHALLENGE: “More speed, more power with minimum time” Design a manually controlled ROBOT that has a capacity to cover maximum distance in shortest possible time, challenging the hurdles and be one of the best opponents. Think your robot can overcome any obstacle; big or small in the least of time. If so get it on the track and let the game begin. Keep in mind that maximizing RPM doesn’t make you winner but winners are those who have good presence of mind, sharpness and practice. ROBOT SPECIFICATIONS: 1. The maximum dimensions of the robot can be 30*30(L*B). 2. The robot may be wired or wireless. 3. The length of the wire (for wired bots) should be long enough to cover the whole track and remain slack during the complete run. 4. Maximum weight shouldn’t exceed 6kg. 5. The power supply will be provided upto 24 Volts. 6. Readymade toy cars are not allowed. RULES AND REGULATIONS; 1. This is racing event ; so fastest and most balanced robot will win. 2. Robot should be as per the above specifications. 3. Each team can have maximum of four members. Students from different institutions can form a team. 4. Entry fee is Rs. 100 per team. 5. Each member of the team should have his/her respective identity card of his institute. 6. The robot shouldn’t damage the arena. 7. The robot shouldn’t leave behind any of it’s parts during the run; else it counts as disqualification. 8. Unethical behaviour could lead to disqualification.Faculty members have all the rights to take final decision for any matter during the event. 9. Judge’s decision will be considered as final. 10. Certificates will be given to all the participants. *Rules may subject to change ARENA; 1. Track width is 40cm. 2. The track surface and course line may have unevenness. 3. There might be abrupt angles, but doesn’t exceed 30 degrees. 4. There will be certain obstacles in the track which may slow down your robot. 5. The design and size of the obstacles may vary from that of shown in figure. 6. Major changes will be notified on the website. 7. The track consists of switch gate, speed breakers, marble pit, slippery path, rotating disc, curve ramp down, see-saw, balloon pit, slotted ramp etc. PHASES IN THE EVENTS: 1. The competition is based on time trail system. There will be a qualifying round for each time. 2. The top team from qualifying round makes it to the final round on basis of time trails. 3. Three hand touches are allowed with a penalty of 5 seconds. 4. Only two skips are provided with a penalty of 10 seconds per skip. 5. No robot should start before the start up call; if so done his/her race would be restarted. If this repeats the person may be disqualified. 6. Robots should be ready by the call made for your team. 7. Machine shouldn’t contain any ready made parts, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, IC engines. 8.
