ROLF HARRIS This man who brought pleasure and joy to thousands, maybe even millions, has been found guilty of indecent assault against young underaged girls who are now women and is being condemned for his actions. Spare a thought for Rolf and his family. We are always quick to condemn especially when we have little knowledge of what we are condemning. 30/40 years ago high profile celebrities were targeted by young females who threw themselves at them for various reasons and therefore the celebrities were vulnerable. I agree that they should have exercised restraint but whoever thought then that they would have to pay in the future for their indiscretions. So who are the guilty ones, the flaunting girls, the so called groupies, or the celebrities who by their own platform were targeted. Rolf Harris is not a bad man. He is a stupid man who allowed himself to enjoy the advances that resulted in todays court decision. How sad that a man in his eighties, in the twilight years of his life, should have to pay for what was bestowed upon him so many years ago by senseless girls who wanted to be a party to the high life at that time. Let us not condemn. If anything let us feel sadness for Rolf, his family and the stupidity of the young who say they were the victims and who have now made victims of those who they targeted a generation ago. I am not passing judgement. I am merely asking my friends to take a step back and understand fully the implications of what is happening to the elderly who were once upon a time the stars of our entertainment lives. I know Rolf. I know his wife. Whatever the penalty their lives are now over. I am very sad.
