ROLLING STONES in RUSHMORE. A persistent little track; not a masterpiece but a dang good B-Sider--and sometimes live is better on the B Side. Shows their range--which was actually quite wide. The music on this video is canned but the vocal is live & slightly diff. from the record (or so my imperfect ears tell me). Mick doesnt appear onscreen till a minute into the shoot which is odd since the only thing that is fresh in this take is the singing. (?) Media people can be so wrong! Just because they have pens and cameras doesnt mean they know what they are doing or have special insights or sensitivities. They just have professional-looking equipment. Anyway, I am glad Wes Anderson heard what was special in this tune. (Its in the movie but not, for some reason, on the CD soundtrack.) https://youtube/watch?v=kLr4rEQ4LMU
