ROOM RENTAL OR GUEST QUARTERS WANTED. (I guess youre supposed to post these regularly so they show up when people are scrolling through, so here it is for a second time...) Thanks to the good graces of IATSE Local 729 (Motion Picture Industry Set Painters ans Sign Writers), along with the good sense of California voters and legislators in giving tax credits to production companies for keeping film and TV production in Los Angeles, I am returning to my old profession as a set painter. Pilot season is heating up, and I expect to be working long days and hours from mid-February until at least June or July. Rather than commuting from Palmdale every day, Im looking for a room to rent where I can sleep and shower a few nights a week. Since I have a house and family in Palmdale, I will be going home whenever Im not working overtime or working close to home, and will definitely be going home a few nights a week regardless. I go to bed early and leave for work early. I dont smoke cigarettes or have a criminal record, and will do my best to respect your privacy and keep out of your way. Ideally, Id like to find someplace centrally located so I can get to Burbank or the West Side studios without sitting in traffic for hours. Depending on my schedule and location, Ill be around some weeks more than other, and some weeks I may not be there at all. A guest quarters or someplace with a private bathroom and entrance would be ideal, so I can come and go without interfering with your routine. Safe parking for my work van is also a big plus.
