Norherly strong gale or storm (mean wind can exceed 20 m/s) is expected today in Iceland with snowfall in the northern part. Valid to 21.10.2014 18:00 Today (Monday) the gas pollution from the eruption is expected to travel eastward, and southeastward in the afternoon. Tomorrow (Tuesday) it will travel to the southeast of Iceland. Fissure eruption in Holuhraun (north of Vatnajökull). The Icelandic Met Office also sent out a REMARK! Travelling across the countre can be difficlut on today (Mondy) and tomorrow (Thusday) especially in north part. This applies especially to vehicles unprepared for winter drifting. Snow in north part, but considerable rain or sleet in the southeast and east during the day, but some snowshowers in south. Becoming colder, frost widely 0 to 5 degrees C by afternoon, but above freezing point by the south coast. Strong gale or storm in the east part tomorrow, but lighter in the west.
