RUN AT YOUR OWN RISK - TRAIL RUN OPPORTUNITY! This Sunday, July 27th a group of us are running GREENROCK TRAIL in GREENSFELDER PARK, and youre invited! The fine print: Your mom wont be there, so bring your own water, food, bug spray, sunscreen, anything you need! This is a self supported training run through wooded/dirt/rock/rooted/muddy trails (no bathrooms, no water fountains). The trail is technical - you may fall down. The climbs are steep - you may have to walk. The trail is winding - you may get lost. Youre butt will be handed to you by the end. Its great training. One way, point-to-point is 14 miles, so well jockey the cars, leaving some at the end to get back (unless you feel like doing 28 miles?). We are bringing a small BBQ grill and some community food/drink. If you plan to eat BBQ after, please bring something to share!...and bring a lawn chair. Remember clean shoes/clothes for the drive home. Meet at the Trailhead at 6:30AM. If you want to follow or carpool, we will roll out of the Park-n-Ride in Maryville, IL (right by UMB Bank on Hwy 159) at 5:30AM. Directions to the trailhead: Park at the southwest trail head. It is located at the north frontage road on I-44 just west of Six Flags. Take the Six flags exit, take the frontage road by the McDonalds west approximately 1 mile as the road makes a bend to the right, the parking lot is on the left. You will pass Jellystone Park. The trail starts across the road. stlouisco/ParksandRecreation/Trails/GreensfelderTrails
