In the 1999 Rugby World Cup quarter finals, Ireland faced an Argentinean side that was very much an unknown quantity. The Irish were fast establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in international rugby, so when they were beaten 28-24 by the South Americans, the script was torn up. Fly halves David Humphreys and Gonzalo Quesada traded kicks throughout the game, but the decisive moment came through Argentina winger Diego Albanese who crashed over six minutes from time.
