Rabbits Run AAR: Aside from some small issues this was a good op. Both teams showed a high level of teamwork, problem solving, radio communication and coordination under stress. I personally did not see a lot of action because I was busy setting up missions from the Ipad with sat intel, coords and mission orders in text form being sent to both teams while helping maintain base security, taking pictures and running the UAV etc… The opfor was aggressive as hell for this op and while I hate to do it I have to give them credit for the long range barrage of rounds that came into our FOB during their assaults. Try as I might I could barely get a shot off without being hit first. I went down 3 times during one assault. I did manage to score a few hits while under siege as well as one 200+ foot hit on an unsuspecting opfor in complete darkness during the metal detector objective mission when I was tasked with dropping a QRF into the area of engagement in the RZR. Kudos to the opfor for finally recovering the buried objective at the crossroads! At FOB east we were well supplied and had a dedicated TOC tent that allowed us to prep gear, charge batteries and review video footage from the UAV. This is necessary for rain or shine ops and having the table and chair made mission planning and gear prep much easier. When night fell Chef/Assaulter callsign ROC cooked us some great steak and chicken Kabobs on the grill (These guys know how to eat right in simulated battle!) while regaling us with stories of the old days. Major Kudos to Dakota1 and Dusty for a job well done and Mincus for his driving skills and willingness to put the armored up Xterra in between us and the bad guys! Also a big thanks to the junior squad members who did a great job of sentry, short range recon and assaulting during the op. See you next time in the DW.
