Rabid Theology Religious messages are constantly being mixed with sports these days. It simply boils down to advertising: Religion has chosen to advertise in this popular venue, to get as many endorsements from as many top athletes as as it can, along with a stamp of approval from each network broadcasting their games. Religion is a business that keeps telling us that society cant be moral without it because its psychological formula is the only effective way to dress down excessive selfishness, though it wouldnt coin its primary activity in those exact terms. NBC is about to debut its new series dubbed Constantine, which employs scientific special effects to encourage people to imagine demons and demon possession existing, while bad spirits have been religions superstitious attempt to explain the problem of evil in the world in contrast to good—all of which supposedly arises a spiritual realm that doesnt, in fact, exist. Of course a Jesus who never really cast out a single demon (while making demons appear real is an enormous Achilles heel of religion) wouldnt have risen from the dead either (which would mean no afterlife), which would infer that he wasnt the worlds grand Messiah after all and by extension that his kingship over all wont one day materialize either. In religion, each asserted theological item links to all of the other asserted theological items within its overall program, all of which affect its credibility. Thats why its proponents must constantly appeal to human weaknesses and fears about evil, demons, and hell, as they hope the same bewitching that worked in the past will continue to work in the present, while putting on a smiley face always pretending to be only about love. [Since demons and evil exist this makes killing and eternal torture necessary to love, they think, so that killing and torture simply cannot be avoided.] For we have demons to conquer!!! [Therefore, what a grand occupational endeavor!!!] ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS!!! But is that really the best way to train the minds of our children for the future?
