Rachel Wood narrowly avoided a yield sign in the middle of 50 - TopicsExpress

Rachel Wood narrowly avoided a yield sign in the middle of 50 (Good driving babe!) on our way home from Lees Summit, MO where Im having training classes. I saw a truck pulled off to the side and we pulled over to see if they needed help. The sign had blown out his tire (So whomever hit the sign just hit it and left it). As I was standing there talking to him a sedan ran over it and blew out a tire. He barely kept control of the vehicle. So I checked on him to see if he was alright. After finding out he was okay I ran back towards the sign to get it out of the road. In all my genius, I cut across to the median (About a 30-40 foot wide grassy area). As Im running toward the sign a minivan hits it and blows both tires and begins sliding towards me. Needless to say I was in a crouched position trying to figure out if I was going to have to jump to a side or try and make a dive under a rolling van. Thankfully she regained control and pulled it off to the side. I made it to the sign and saw that the guy that was coming to help me was way too far back as there were more cars coming. So, I picked it up and ran it over to the median. Thankfully it wasnt so heavy I couldnt lift it, I wasnt quite sure how much it was going to weigh. It really didnt seem to be too bad. Anyway, maybe a minute after I get it out of the road, and 18 wheeler flies by in that lane and I can assure you he was NOT going the speed limit. REALLY glad I got the sign out of the way before he came along. Thanking God everyone was/is safe and wishing I wasnt so out of shape. I coughed up a gob of blood in the Wal-Mart parking lot and have been hacking a bit since then. Maybe this was my wake up call. If you cant sprint 800-1000ft without nearly coughing to death, you probably need to do something about it. At least the blazing hot steam from my shower helped a little bit, lol.
