Racism is institutionalized in the legal system and the prisons. - TopicsExpress

Racism is institutionalized in the legal system and the prisons. Crack used to be punished 100 times worse than cocaine. Now it’s 18 times worse last time I checked. It left black men in jail and future-less, it left black mothers single and struggling, it left black children fatherless and at dramatically higher risk of future imprisonment. White people in their comfortable suburban homes oppose busing urban students for their comfortable public schools. Because they are 100% racist and don’t even think about it. Reagan funded Nicaraguan Contras to fight their anti-Communist wars, and in return let them engage in and profit from the crack trade in America. It’s so much easier for white people to say forget about it than it is for the blacks, because the whites are STILL benefiting from their centuries of racism and the blacks are still suffering. Only when they are on socioeconomic equal ground can we even consider to “forget” about racism as if the greatest atrocities in human history didn’t occur in America’s South, and weren’t supported by the North through the Atlantic Slave Trade. I hate how people call Kanye a “hypocrite”
