Radio Report 10-9-13 Good morning! This week at Carter Christian Academy, we are anticipating fall break. Students and staff are looking forward to our break which begins on Monday, October 14 through Friday, October 18. We pray everyone has a safe and restful fall break. We welcome each family to join us during our Chapel Services in the main building on Wednesday mornings at 8:20. Our chapel services are centered on growing students’ knowledge of God, the bible, and Christian character. We have three services to choose from Mrs. Sparks’ grades K4-2, Mrs. Adkins grades 3-5, and Mrs. Tracy grades 6-12. Hope to see you there! Please encourage your children this year to learn the books of the bible and their memory verse each week. We would like to remind parents to please send a note from home or a doctor’s excuse when your child is absent. If we do not receive an excuse, the absence is mark unexcused. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. During lunch (11:35-12:10), the answering machine will be picking up our calls. We will return your call starting at 12:10. For those parents that drop-off lunch to your children, please do so by 11:30. There will not be anyone manning the door during this time also. Thank you so much for your assistance in this matter. Our first quarter will end on Tuesday, October 22. Teachers will give out grade cards during your conference. Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 24. Please look for notes from your child’s homeroom teacher for specific details about conference. We will be dismissing at 1:30 on the 24th in order to hold conferences. Our next booster meeting is Thursday, October 24 at 3:30. CCA would like to invite students, parents, grandparents, and the community to our annual Fall Festival. It will be held on Friday, October 25 at 6:00. Please come join us in a night of fun, food, and fellowship. Our Happy Hands Program is every Tuesday from 9:00-10:15. Amy Burton is our Happy Hands teacher this year. This is a free service to the community that is available to three and four year old children. We do ask for a $10.00 registration fee. This fee helps to cover the cost of snacks. The class includes crafts, snack, playtime, and bible stories. Please come and join the fun! Just a reminder…we will not have Happy Hands on Tuesday, October 16, due to fall break.
