Radiohead are an English rock band from Oxfordshire and formed in 1985. Until 1992, when they changed their name, were known as On a Friday. They have sold over 30 million records worldwide.The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards), Ed OBrien (guitar, voice support), Colin Greenwood (bass guitar, synthesizers) and Philip Selway (drums) .Radiohead released their first single, Creep, in 1992. The song was initially unsuccessful, but after the release of the debut album Pablo Honey, the single was an unexpected success worldwide. The album, although well received in the United States, passed almost unnoticed in England. The success at home came only with the second album, The Bends (1995), which earned the group a number of fans. Their reputation grew even more with the release of the third album; characterized by a sound more extensive and recurring theme of modern alienation, OK Computer (1997) is recognized by several critics as a milestone in rock music of the nineties. With their next album Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001), the popularity of Radiohead arrived at the highest levels. With these discs, the band experienced a further development of their musical style, strongly influenced by contemporary classical music, from free jazz and electronics. Their sixth album, Hail to the Thief (2003), characterized by greater emphasis to current texts, it seemed to mix influences from throughout the bands career. Radiohead, after four years of absence from the scene, in 2007, completed recording their seventh album, In Rainbows, available for digital download from 10 October 2007. In 2011 the group released their eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, which is also downloadable from the bands website from 18 February 2011. The US magazine Rolling Stone included five Radiohead album in its list of the 500 greatest albums: Kid A at position 67, The Bends to 111, 162 to OK Computer, Amnesiac and In Rainbows...
