Rafael Nadal has insisted he is managing his knee injury ahead of the US Open in New York next month. Nadal suffered a shock defeat to Belgian Steve Darcis in the 1st round of Wimbledon, having claimed another French Open title at Roland Garros. A record of 7 wins in 10 events he has featured in since his return from a 7 month break is strong form from the Spaniard, but concerns have continued to be raised about his fitness. Nadal has allayed fears regarding his knee issues and believes he is on top of the problem at the moment as he continues his preparation for the US Open.
