The framed size of this painting is 30” x 38” and accentuated with an inner border of sheet metal and rivets to visually match the aircrafts skin in the painting, the outer border is done in deep cherry. “Raiders Over Tokyo” depicts the Doolittle Raid, a group of eighty men from all walks of life who flew into history on April 18, 1942. They were all volunteers and this was a very dangerous mission. Sixteen B-25 bombers took off from the deck of the USS Hornet, led by (then Col.)
