Railway ministry seeks state funds for Nilambur-Nanjangud line.Aug 23, 2013--- KOZHIKODE: The railway ministry has sought the financial participation of the state government to make the long-delayed Nilambur-Nanjangud rail line a reality. The rail line, when completed, will be the shortest route from Kerala to Karnataka besides trimming the Kochi-Mysore distance by 300 km. The new railway proposal was submitted during the discussions held between chief minister Oommen Chandy and railway minister Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi on Tuesday.
