Rain Chance Drops NOT AS HUMID: Slightly cooler, slightly - TopicsExpress

Rain Chance Drops NOT AS HUMID: Slightly cooler, slightly less muggy air will arrive through the day in central and southern Alabama. No, it wont magically feel like mid-December, but the change will be noticeable as the humidity drops and the morning/evening temperatures become cooler. It will still be quite warm in the afternoon, but the decrease in humidity will make it feel more comfortable. WHAT ABOUT RAIN? A couple of weak upper waves will swing close to Alabama today and tomorrow, bringing a tiny rain chance to limited parts of our area. For most, both days are dry. First, today, a few showers and storms are possible over far southern Alabama. Places like Florala, Geneva, Dothan, Ozark stand a chance of getting wet this afternoon. Then, tomorrow, a weak upper trough swings over eastern Mississippi. We cant rule out a stray shower or storm west of Selma tomorrow afternoon. Again, though, almost all of our area stays dry both days. FOOTBALL AND GOLF: Its a busy sports weekend around Alabama. The Yokohama LPGA Classic begins tomorrow in Prattville, lasting through Sunday. Auburn and ASU play Thursday night games, we have the usual assortment of high school football games on Friday night, and the rest of our local colleges and universities play on Saturday. The weather looks good for all of those events - temperatures in the mid to upper 80s in the afternoons, falling into the 70s each evening. The chance of rain is very, very small.
