Raisin Cake Ingredients All purpose flour 2 cups Unsalted butter 1 cup Brown sugar 1 cup Eggs 2 Milk ¾ cup Baking powder 1 ½ tsp Almond essence 1 ½ tsp Raisin ¾ cup Sugar syrup 1 ½ cup Strawberry syrup ½ cup Whipped cream as needed Cherry as needed Grated chocolate as needed Method Sift maida with baking powder. Keep aside. Beat butter And brown sugar in a clean dry bowl with a clean dry Electric hand beater. Add eggs one by one and beat well. Add half of the maida mixture and beat well. Add the Remaining maida mixture and beat well. Add milk and Beat again. Lastly add almond essence and raisins. Mix well.Transfer to a greased square or round tin of 8 inch diameter And bake at 180 degree for 35-45 minutes in a preheated Oven. Test the cake by inserting a clean knife or a tooth pick In the centre of the cake. If the knife comes out clean , the Cake is ready. Remove from the oven. Cool the cake completely. Mix sugar syrup and strawberry syrup. Whip cream In a cold pan till it can stand in firm peaks. Fill some of it in the Icing gun. Cut the cake into 2 round halves. Soak each piece With sugar syrup and strawberry syrup mixture. Place both the cake Pieces. Cover with cream on the top and sides. Decorate it with Cream by using icing gun. Lastly decorate it with cherry and Grated chocolate. Refrigerate till the time of serving.
