Ralph Gunn writes: "It is nearly 12 years since I first visited Malawi representing my then employer, Bell College, at the opening of a training clinic in partnership with Kamuzu College of Nursing in Lilongwe. Within 24 hours I heard myself promising a meeting of staff and students that somehow I would be back. Little did I realise that this would be a promise that God would ensure that I kept. Nor did I ever think that that He would introduce me to zambesi mission and ask me to be an Honorary Representative. Over the intervening years I have visited Malawi 7 or 8 times, but I was surprised when I realised that it is nearly 3 years since my last visit. So imagine my delight as I look forward to 3 weeks in this great little country starting on 21 November. I fly out from Glasgow on the afternoon of 20 October and 24 hours later land at Chileka via Amsterdam and Nairobi. It will be good to meet up with old friends and make new ones as I travel with Mike Beresford and Simon Chikwana and others to visit churches, clinics, orphan day care centres and various projects in Malawi and Mozambique. I am not sure what God has planned for this trip, but I am sure that He is in control and will have something marvellous in store. I am very excited. Please pray for safe flights and that all connections will be made on time. Pray for safety on the roads, for Jean at home in Scotland and, most importantly, for God’s blessing in all that we undertake for Him."
