(4 June 2014) One of the best cricketers of the contemporary cricket is none but the well-liked cricketing legend of our time Hashim Amla. I have admired this young man since he appeared into world cricket in 2005 or 2006. He has shown immense patience, concentration and application of skills and strong mental strength throughout his career. His cricketing career has come to full circle yesterday when he was announced the next captain of South African test cricket team. What a recognition for such a great person! One of the most striking characteristics of this person is his humility, simplicity and sincerity to the game. His humble attitude and always down-to-earth behavior is owe-inspiring for young people throughout the cricketing world. Hashim Amla is a prime example of a successful Muslim of the modern time. He maintains excellence in his profession while maintaining his religious and moral values and ethics. Amla showed to everyone that one can reach at the pinnacle of ones career and still be a good Muslim and a good person. Hats off to Hashim Amla!
