Ramblings: We just made it home from our annual New Years meal at moms. It is a meal filled with foods that we cant pronounce and most the time cant even identify, but they are yummy and we over ate as usual. We really enjoyed the friends mom invited this year but I was definitely out of my element. The conversation touched on corporate tax shelters, real estate investments and Stalin vs Lenin. Did I mention I was out of my element?? I kept trying to bring the conversation around to pig feeding and the cost to growth ratio of adding barley to pig feeds. Or the benefits of goat vs chicken manure for a garden but the looks I got from everyone were pretty effective conversation stoppers. Oh well, I tried. :-) Im hoping it warms up a bit tomorrow so we can get some work done on the pasture fence. For now Im going to pour a giant glass of wine, sit by the fire and work on my quilt. I hope you all had a wonderful New Year Day.
