Nacho Monreal is also out, while Calum Chambers is unavailable after receiving a red card in the defeat to Stoke City. Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Flamini are available, however, while Alexis Sanchez is set to feature after being rested in midweek. Its a shame because he was getting close to matching last seasons form, Wenger told reporters of Ramsey, who scored a sensational goal against Galatasaray in midweek before developing a hamstring problem. With so many absences at the back, the Frenchman accepted: I have 24 hours to work out the defence. [Newcastle] are doing well and are on a good run so itll be a good challenge for us. Overall we are on a good trend. We are united for one target: to do well for the club we love and thats what we want to achieve. Alexis, [Olivier] Giroud and [Danny] Welbeck are fit and rested. Wenger and Magpies manager Alan Pardew have previously exchanged some contentious behaviour on the touchlines but the Gunners boss says that it is in the past and praised his counterparts work at St Jamess Park. We had a problem once but we sorted it out, Wenger insisted. He has done very well because hes gone through a difficult patch.
